Program support through donations and grants continue to make a difference in educating at-risk youth on the benefits of a higher education. Our Class of 2022 celebrates 32 students going off to college and care packages were created for each of CAP’s high school graduates in preparation for college including backpacks, new laptops, toiletries and more. In 2021, SteppingUP’s CAP Program marked its 15th Anniversary, maintaining its commitment to reducing the high school dropout rate in Orange County and not just getting students to, but through college; encouraging higher education for at-risk youth since 2006. The program has grown from serving 26 students to serving 471 in 2021 and 100% of its 38 high school seniors graduating on time and stepping up to college this year. To date CAP has celebrated 374 alumni and 92 college graduates who have now entered the workforce.
